Welcome January 2008!

Lauren & Colin have started out the New Year with many new activities and a whole lot of fun. Some of the things they have done this month:

- Colin started school

- Lauren started Ballet

- Colin & Lauren started skating lessons

- We went to the Backyardigans Musical

Lauren's new Soccer Team: the Strikers

Lauren has joined an Under 6 soccer team in Cloverdale called the Strikers. Not only does she get to play twice a week, but Sean is also the assistant coach! Lauren & Sean love spending time together; going through soccer drills in the backyard.

Lauren's First Day of School

Little Lauren has started Kindergarten and she sure loves it. She loves to get ready dressed in her uniform and it is actually a really nice uniform! Pretty soon, she is going to be smarter than Sean & I; wait I think she already is.

Happy Canada Day!

The Phoenix Family spent Canada Day at the Surrey Celebration in Cloverdale. The weather was sunny and warm (hooray). The kids had a great time eating hot dogs; listening to music; getting their faces painted and playing on the bouncy castles. We hope that you have a wonderful Canada Day too!

Colin turns 3 on June 3rd

Our little Dude is growing up so fast! It is hard to believe that he will go into Preschool next year! Where does the time go?

Palm Desert & Disneyland

We just returned from a wonderful 10 day vacation in Palm Desert. We stayed at the Desert Flats this year and it was a wonderful place. My parents have rented the townhouse for the whole month of May and they invited to come and stay! We spent every day by the pool, basking in the 100 degree sunshine!

For 2 days we headed to the happiest place on earth: Disneyland. The kids enjoyed seeing all the characters and going on the rides.

Lauren's favourites: Belle, Cinderella, Dumbo ride, Peter Pan ride, It's a Small World, Aladdin Show, Playhouse Show.

Colin's favourite's: Buzz Lightyear, Winnie the Pooh Bear, Dumbo Ride, Winnie the Pooh ride, Buzz Lightyear ride, Carousel Horses.

Lauren was also selected to pull the sword for the stone. She thought that was pretty neat. Colin wondered why Ariel wasn't wearing a shirt?!

We can hardly wait to go back next year. Thanks to Mom & Dad for letting us stay!
